About the 1954 Lincoln Capri

Replacing the Cosmopolitan as Lincoln’s superb series was the 1954 Lincoln Capri. It had newly constructed ball joint front suspension, jumbo drum brakes, recirculating-ball power steering, and rode a state-of-the-art 123-inch-wheelbase chassis.

Inside the motor room was an overhead-valve V-8 from Ford Motor Company, which would continue to Ford and Mercury in 1954. The styling has changed to a more up-to-date and neat to almost being plain looking.

Its sound had an augmented refinement and the air-conditioning system showcased flow-through ventilation. Today, the Lincolns are extremely respected for their outstanding performance in the Carrera Panamericana. Carrera Panamericana was perceived to be one of the most exhausting road races.

The endurance and sturdiness of the vehicles competed in this race were tested. Concluding the race was an accomplishment, but winning it is a lot more rewarding! Several cars of the Ford Motor Company were enrolled into the competition and demonstrated that their cars were the most competent by bagging the first, second, and third place.

In our listing, this 1954 Lincoln Capri houses a 317.5 CI V8 engine, with power windows, and power driver seat. It is made more attractive by its chromed front and rear wing windows. The interior is in A-shape as well as the trunk. The hood ornament and hubcaps are also intact.

This 6-volt car runs great!
