1966 Ford Thunderbird Landau 428 - Classic Cars

About Thunderbirds

During the early 1950s, vehicular option was inadequate as compared to the 21st century. There were coupes, convertibles, sedans, and station wagons. Local manufacturers did not produce subcompacts, compacts, and sports cars; SUVs were never heard of until Ford introduced the first Thunderbird in 1955.

The first Thunderbird provided sophistication and style that used to be offered only by luxurious imports like Jaguar and Mercedez-Benz at a practical price tag of a Ford. However, the first two-seater T-bird did lack room for two more passengers. It took flight when that room was finally added. Then 40 years later, the T-bird was flattened down by the tires of the SUV trend and went back to being a two-seater.

This one is a 1966 Ford Thunderbird Landau 428 with power steering and factory air-conditioning. The paint and body are in really great shape with a couple of expected imperfections. Painted years back with quality in mind, body is straight and what looks to be virtually rust free. Undercarriage is in excellent shape, as well as the floor pans, tires, and exhaust.

Original numbers matching 428 has been fully re-gasketed and is a true daily turnkey driver. Interior still in original fashion and is in excellent shape, from the rear wrap around seat, front buckets, carpet, door panels, headliner and overhead console along with instrument cluster.

Power windows, power wing windows, with AM/FM cassette radio.

If you are in the market for T-bird and looking for a daily driver, then this it! You could not ask for a better turnkey driver.
