1954 Lincoln Capri - Classic Cars

About the 1954 Lincoln Capri

Replacing the Cosmopolitan as Lincoln’s superb series was the 1954 Lincoln Capri. It had newly constructed ball joint front suspension, jumbo drum brakes, recirculating-ball power steering, and rode a state-of-the-art 123-inch-wheelbase chassis.

Inside the motor room was an overhead-valve V-8 from Ford Motor Company, which would continue to Ford and Mercury in 1954. The styling has changed to a more up-to-date and neat to almost being plain looking.

Its sound had an augmented refinement and the air-conditioning system showcased flow-through ventilation. Today, the Lincolns are extremely respected for their outstanding performance in the Carrera Panamericana. Carrera Panamericana was perceived to be one of the most exhausting road races.

The endurance and sturdiness of the vehicles competed in this race were tested. Concluding the race was an accomplishment, but winning it is a lot more rewarding! Several cars of the Ford Motor Company were enrolled into the competition and demonstrated that their cars were the most competent by bagging the first, second, and third place.

In our listing, this 1954 Lincoln Capri houses a 317.5 CI V8 engine, with power windows, and power driver seat. It is made more attractive by its chromed front and rear wing windows. The interior is in A-shape as well as the trunk. The hood ornament and hubcaps are also intact.

This 6-volt car runs great!

1983 Porsche 928 - Classic Car Addiction

Given its unparalleled viewing visibility, the Porsche 928 is touted as the finest Porsche ever. The most enjoyable driving moment is when the driver and car become one; the car gives the driver precise information as to road quality, and the driver, by steering, braking, and accelerating, responds. The car, then, reacts.

This car is a 1983 Porsche 928. The owner of this car loved and maintained it for over 15 years and is only parting with it to travel the world.

With its original rebuilt 285ci that does not leak nor have any over-heating  problems. This is truly a solid turn-key driver. Its automatic transmission shifts tight  and smoothly. We put in place new front control arm bushing, brakes, shocks, and fresh fluids.

The brakes feel great and are adjusted properly. Its body is very solid and straight with its original color platinum metallic retained. There are minor paint imperfections and a slight ding on passenger front fender near the headlight (can be seen in pictures and videos).

Interior has rip in driver seat, side cousin, and rear arm rest is ripped as well. Dash is cracked a little and is covered with an aftermarket dash pad but does fit and looks good. Rear quart sail panels are in need of recovering.

The A/C is functioning but not getting too cold (I will look into fixing it at my facility).

Everything else is intact and in fair condition. Glass is all good, and doors close smoothly and hinges are good. Lights, blinkers, heater, and radio are all working fine. Engine work was done professionally  and it shows in the way this car starts and runs. Over all, this is a mechanically sound daily driver.

The owner has put thousand of dollars in up keep over his years of ownership and has receipts for all motor works.

His next step is to improve and dress up the interior.

I have taken lots of additional photos and videos of starting, undercarriage, and driving.

1939 Cadillac Lasalle - Classic Cars

1939 Cadillac Lasalle - Classic Car Addiction

Classic Cars, simply put, are old cars. According to the Classic Car Club of America, a car is considered “classic” if it is between 30 to 49 years old, pre-antique if it is between 50 and 99, and antique if it is 100 years and older. In the United Kingdom, they categorize older cars into veterans (pre-First World War), vintage (1919-1930), and post-vintage (1930s).

In Cuba, you will find lots of American classic cars, not because Cubans love them, but they simply don’t have a choice. Classic cars have been handed down to them by their fathers and grandfathers since America dominated Cuba.  From then on, Cubans have kept those automobiles, their daily drivers.

If America has Chevrolet, Japan has its very first super car called Toyota 200GT. A rear-wheel drive sports car, the Toyota 200GT made its debut at the 1965 Tokyo Motor Show, but it’s only after a couple of years that Toyota made the car available to buyers. Vintage Japanese cars are now gaining popularity in the U.S. A Tokyo based car dealer in Japan has a fully restored model of Toyota’s classical 200GT; it is one of the 351 model cars made from 1967 to 1970.

When Karl Benz and Nikolaus Otto created four-stroke internal combustion engines in the late 1870s, Germany became the hometown of the automobile. Today, there are hundreds and hundreds of classic car dealers in Germany. From models Mercedez Benz SSKL to Ferrari 250 California, classic cars addicts will have a hard time choosing which driver to take home.

At Classic Car Addiction, we offer this beautiful 1939 Cadillac Lasalle; original fashion in and out with exception of exterior paint done years prior. The body is solid along with undercarriage, floor panes, engine compartment and trunk. Paint does have a few blemishes, but good overall and is acceptable for an older restoration. Glass is good, runner boards are solid and original.

Exterior lighting is functional, chrome is in good shape and intact. Cadillac is a driver the way it sits, flat 322 fires right off. Transmission shifts properly along with new brake shoes and hardware that also functioning in proper fashion. The Fuel lines system has been flushed and new in line filters with new spark plugs as well.

I can send videos and additional pictures to those who are interested.

For more information, please feel free to call me.

Number matching except for the engine. With nicely built SBC 350, gear drive, Edelbrock intake manifold, 4 barrel carb, Hedman Hedders and new glasspacks that sound great. 3.55 gear ratio with the 4 speed and a Healthy 350 make for a nice driving muscle car, unlike the automatic Powerglide.

Door Handles have been shaved, body trim deleted and interior  restored when restoration was done, approx in the late 80's. Interior is in very nice shape, from the door panels, front bucket seats, rear seats, carpet, instrument cluster, headliner and dash pad. Louvered hood was added as well.

The body is nice, paint is decent and looks near flawless making this car a great daily driver.
This 64 is a turn key driver by the way it sits and looks. If you're looking for a perfect car, this piece is a great candidate for two reasons: First, it's a factory 4 speed car which makes it more desirable. Second, it's a Super Sport making a great combination for future profits.

Metal and undercarriage are dry and seem to be solid (as seen in the pictures), with a few spots of minor surface rust forming over a couple of paint scratches that have happened in the past.

This is a great family cruiser or for a drive to local car shows.

I have taken  additional photos and videos to help you in making a clear buying decision. For inquiries, please don’t hesitate to call me. As a classic car dealer, I sell driver's.

From October 1908 to May 1927, Ford Motor Company produced the Ford Model T (commonly known as Tin Lizzie, Model T, or simply T). It was generally driven by the middle-class American given the T’s affordability; this was made possible by Ford’s proficient fabrication that included production line as alternative to hand crafting.

Prior the T’s inception in 1908, automobiles already existed long. However, because they were expensive and regarded as excessive luxury, they were scarce and few people only afforded to buy them until the Model T.

The Model T made the year 1908 a historic year when the automobile was greatly embraced by the mass population. Interestingly to know, the Model T was the first mass-produced automobile with exchangeable parts. This is what Henry Ford had to say about this car:

"I will build a car for the great multitude. It will be large enough for the family, but small enough for the individual to run and care for. It will be constructed of the best materials, by the best men to be hired, after the simplest designs that modern engineering can devise. But it will be so low in price that no man making a good salary will be unable to own one – and enjoy with his family the blessing of hours of pleasure in God's great open spaces."

TRIVIA

The Model T was used in the movie “Village of the Giants”, released in 1965.

1924 Dodge Brothers Business Coupe - Classic Cars

 1924 Dodge Brothers Business Coupe

Not often do you come across special pieces like this, even when you have been in the business most of your life. Since its first production in Seattle WA, it has remained here for almost 91 years. It is really surprising that it still drives as it would have in 1924. Most of it seems to be in original condition and well preserved.

The windows are chain operated and still functioning; rear curtains still tacked, tilt out front windshield, original wood flooring with production and patented pending plates. Original wood framing is still in its expected preserved condition. Original hand carved wood steering wheel. Clutch and mechanical brakes feel and operate smooth.

Awesome period correct 32" solid steel wheels with original stamped DB lug nuts; slim line white walls are like new, including the spare tire. Trunk lid is opening smoothly and what appears to be rust free. All metal and wood works have been preserved over several decades, something which is not expected.

The exterior was painted black, had a touch up at one point and live over the last 90 years. It seems like this car was wonderfully kept in a time capsule.

This car has a 12v factory electrical system with original glass headlight stamped DB. All interior and exterior lights work on turn off key knob. The original rear brake light says "stop" when brake pedal is pressed.

What I love most about this piece of automotive history that I have been lucky enough to acquire is its uniqueness and size. This business coupe, when parked beside a model T or a later model A towers over them like a full size truck. It is truly a unique piece of automotive history.

As I look at it, it seems like there is a transition point between the end of the stage coach to a new machine powered undercarriage and functioning mechanical brakes system. The cab portion of this model looks like a stage coach to me. For me, I thought, the dodge brother was ahead of the game during its time. They had a handful of patents on their Business coupe.

This is a one of a kind car, sound piece, with all documents supporting its 90+ years of life in Seattle WA, including original sells / build sheet with VIN and purchase dates. The car dealership’s business card with the salesperson’s name is still intact. Original dealership stamped plate, mounted on passenger side and the floor board below the dodge brother stamped plate installed when sold in 1924.

I don’t get to say this often but this is a True Barn find. This is truly a great and unique piece for the serious collectors out there.

I can send videos and additional pictures to those who are interested.

1966 Ford Thunderbird Landau 428 - Classic Cars

About Thunderbirds

During the early 1950s, vehicular option was inadequate as compared to the 21st century. There were coupes, convertibles, sedans, and station wagons. Local manufacturers did not produce subcompacts, compacts, and sports cars; SUVs were never heard of until Ford introduced the first Thunderbird in 1955.

The first Thunderbird provided sophistication and style that used to be offered only by luxurious imports like Jaguar and Mercedez-Benz at a practical price tag of a Ford. However, the first two-seater T-bird did lack room for two more passengers. It took flight when that room was finally added. Then 40 years later, the T-bird was flattened down by the tires of the SUV trend and went back to being a two-seater.

T-birds Timeline

First Generation (1955-1957): Classic Two-Seat Thunderbirds
Second Generation (1958-1960): Four-Seat "Square Birds"
Third Generation (1961-1963): "Bullet Birds"
Fourth Generation (1964-1966): "Jet Birds"

Fifth Generation (1967-1971): "Big Birds"
Sixth Generation (1972-1976): "Bigger Birds"
Seventh Generation (1977-1979): "Torino Birds"
Eighth Generation (1980-1982): "Fairmont Birds"
Ninth Generation (1983-1986): "Aero Birds"
10th Generation (1987-1988): "Even More Aerodynamic Birds"
11th Generation (1989-1997): "High Tech Birds"
12th Generation (2002-2005): Retro Birds

This one is a 1966 Ford Thunderbird Landau 428 with power steering and factory air-conditioning. The paint and body are in really great shape with a couple of expected imperfections. Painted years back with quality in mind, body is straight and what looks to be virtually rust free. Undercarriage is in excellent shape, as well as the floor pans, tires, and exhaust.

Original numbers matching 428 has been fully re-gasketed and is a true daily turnkey driver. Interior still in original fashion and is in excellent shape, from the rear wrap around seat, front buckets, carpet, door panels, headliner and overhead console along with instrument cluster.

Power windows, power wing windows, with AM/FM cassette radio.

If you are in the market for T-bird and looking for a daily driver, then this it! You could not ask for a better turnkey driver.

Here are some photos and videos to help you make a clear and fast decision. For more information, please feel free to contact me. I sell drivers.
