1939 Cadillac Lasalle - Classic Car Addiction
Classic Cars, simply put, are old cars. According to the Classic Car Club of America,
a car is considered “classic” if it is between 30 to 49 years old, pre-antique
if it is between 50 and 99, and antique if it is 100 years and older. In the
United Kingdom, they categorize older cars into veterans (pre-First World War),
vintage (1919-1930), and post-vintage (1930s).
In Cuba, you will find lots of American classic cars, not
because Cubans love them, but they simply don’t have a choice. Classic cars
have been handed down to them by their fathers and grandfathers since America
dominated Cuba. From then on, Cubans
have kept those automobiles, their daily drivers.
If America has Chevrolet, Japan has its very first super car
called Toyota 200GT. A rear-wheel drive sports car, the Toyota 200GT made its
debut at the 1965 Tokyo Motor Show, but it’s only after a couple of years that
Toyota made the car available to buyers. Vintage Japanese cars are now gaining
popularity in the U.S. A Tokyo based car dealer in Japan has a fully restored
model of Toyota’s classical 200GT; it is one of the 351 model cars made from
1967 to 1970.
When Karl Benz and Nikolaus Otto created four-stroke
internal combustion engines in the late 1870s, Germany became the hometown of
the automobile. Today, there are hundreds and hundreds of classic car dealers
in Germany. From models Mercedez Benz SSKL to Ferrari 250 California, classic
cars addicts will have a hard time choosing which driver to take home.
At Classic Car Addiction, we offer this beautiful 1939 Cadillac Lasalle; original fashion
in and out with exception of exterior paint done years prior. The body is solid
along with undercarriage, floor panes, engine compartment and trunk. Paint does
have a few blemishes, but good overall and is acceptable for an older
restoration. Glass is good, runner boards are solid and original.
Exterior lighting is functional, chrome is in good shape and
intact. Cadillac is a driver the way it sits, flat 322 fires right off.
Transmission shifts properly along with new brake shoes and hardware that also
functioning in proper fashion. The Fuel lines system has been flushed and new
in line filters with new spark plugs as well.
I can send videos and additional pictures to those who are
interested.
