Given its unparalleled viewing visibility, the Porsche 928 is
touted as the finest Porsche ever. The most enjoyable driving moment is when
the driver and car become one; the car gives the driver precise information as
to road quality, and the driver, by steering, braking, and accelerating,
responds. The car, then, reacts.
This car is a 1983 Porsche 928. The owner of this car loved and
maintained it for over 15 years and is only parting with it to travel the
world.
With its original rebuilt 285ci that does not leak nor have any
over-heating problems. This is truly a
solid turn-key driver. Its automatic transmission shifts tight and smoothly. We put in place new front
control arm bushing, brakes, shocks, and fresh fluids.
The brakes feel great and are adjusted properly. Its body is
very solid and straight with its original color platinum metallic retained.
There are minor paint imperfections and a slight ding on passenger front fender
near the headlight (can be seen in pictures and videos).
Interior has rip in driver seat, side cousin, and rear arm rest
is ripped as well. Dash is cracked a little and is covered with an aftermarket
dash pad but does fit and looks good. Rear quart sail panels are in need of
recovering.
The A/C is functioning but not getting too cold (I will look
into fixing it at my facility).
Everything else is intact and in fair condition. Glass is all
good, and doors close smoothly and hinges are good. Lights, blinkers, heater,
and radio are all working fine. Engine work was done professionally and it shows in the way this car starts and
runs. Over all, this is a mechanically sound daily driver.
The owner has put thousand of dollars in up keep over his years
of ownership and has receipts for all motor works.
His next step is to improve and dress up the interior.
I have taken lots of additional photos and videos of starting,
undercarriage, and driving.
